Lift Inner West

Building a brand and graduating a gym from backyard to boutique and beyond.

The problem

“We need a logo… and a website… and some socials… and an ebook.. and a downloadable flyer”

Lift Inner West has used Lobos over a number of years to help gradually build the brand and marketing foundations and now help them tick over day to day.

The Work

Brand Development. Marketing Strategy. Social Planning. Design & Front End Development.

We started with a basic logo and some colours and slowly created an ecosystem of assets that would work hard for the business and work cohesively to stay on brand and on message.

Kris Mount

Director - Lift Inner West

Since working with Josh over the past 8 months, we have accomplished more than I could have imagined. I asked Josh to guide me through the process of transforming my small business into a brand—not just a product on a shelf, but a brand that people are proud to be a part of, from staff to consumers. Josh took the time to understand the current state of my business and the essential building blocks, from the tech stack to the customer journey.

Not only have we been working through the new strategic planning process he helped me create, but we are also thriving and deepening our brand recognition in our area, building a brand that will continue to thrive in the future. As a fast-paced business owner with numerous ideas and strong operational skills, I needed someone to help harness my drive and ideas. Josh has partnered with me to properly plan and build strategies for effective implementation.

Basic brand elements

To get the business going, we needed to develop a style and ethos that embodied Founder, Kris Mount’s, vision of an elevated but inclusive training experience.

Our solution was to head away from the well trodden tropes of weight plates and shouty sans serifs, and opted for more refined options in type choice, colours and photography to make us very much stand out from the noise.

In addition to this, given the fact that this is small business, Kris would be doing much of the design work himself (with guidance) through Canva. This system needed to be easy enough for a complete novice to implement.

Photography style

Given the want to be elevated and present a premium experience to our clients and prospects, we shot some moody golden hour snapshots of the studio space.

Website

The website has become the rock piece of the marketing ecosystem, with ads, social, lead gen and emails all referencing back to it. As such, we’ve built up sections for all the main pillars of the business, lead gen, blog content and capture forms to provide information and drive our customers through the funnel.

Uniforms. Lead gen. Info packs.

Our remit extends into all areas of marketing helping deliver staff uniforms, e-books for prospects, and comprehensive info packs for other businesses looking to work with Lift.
